A cult manga
One of the most influential franchises in manga history ! Created by Akira Toriyama in 1984, the series defined the codes of shonen (a category of manga, aimed at an audience of young boys aged 12 to 18). With its blend of action and comedy, it inspired other leading Japanese comics, such as One Piece and Naruto, making it one of the archipelago's must-have franchises.
Dragon Ball has sold 300 million mangas, anime in over 80 countries (with iconic dubbing), films and video games. It's a flourishing business, and all it needed was an official store!
The first official boutique
First Avenue, in Tokyo station, the Dragon Ball Store opened its doors on November 14. With photo spots featuring life-size figures of your favorite characters, and a console corner where you can (re)discover the best games from the franchise, you'll be able to immerse yourself nostalgically in Toriyama's universe.
As for goodies, you'll be able to get your hands on exclusive products that can only be purchased in Japan: key-rings, figurines, T-shirts, there's something for everyone!

How to get there
The Dragon Ball Store is located on Tokyo Station's First Avenue, famous for its "Tokyo Character Street", an alley housing over 30 stores dedicated to fictional characters (Hello Kitty, One Piece, etc.).
The store is easily accessible from the station's Yaesu north exit. Please note, however, that until the end of November, entry was subject to prior reservation. Although the restrictions have now been lifted, please consult the the store's official for more information (in case reservations make a comeback during busy periods).
