One of the exhibition's centerpieces is the recreation of Porco Rosso's Savoia S-21 airplane, designed by special effects expert Hiroshi Ihara. Not far away, you can enjoy a special screening of Fantasy Flying Machines, a six-minute short film directed by Hayao Miyazaki himself, which explores mankind's fascination with flight and aviation.
While the film is silent, the exhibition is presented in Japanese and English. As in the Parc Ghibli Warehouse (Nagoya), film posters are also presented in several languages (including French) to illustrate the studio's worldwide influence.
Feeling hungry? Stop off at T-LOTUS M, a floating restaurant adjacent to the exhibition hall. Ham Ramen (a bowl of bacon ramen) is available to anyone with an admission ticket corresponding to the special offer.
