Osaka, Japan's gastronomic capital
The culinary capital of Japan, Osaka is world-renowned for its gastronomy. The city abounds in gourmet treasures: emblematic Kansai specialties, street food, Michelin-starred restaurants, there's something for everyone!
To showcase its heritage, Osaka is organizing a culinary marathon from October 27, 2025 to January 12, 2026. Inspired by stamp rallies, this gourmet experience transforms the city into a tailor-made gastronomic playground, conducive to discovery.

This gastronomic tour takes you on a tasty adventure through Osaka's best culinary spots, guided by a passionate local guide. Along the way, you'll visit popular street food stalls, lively izakayas, and hidden treasures while discovering Osaka's famous gourmet motto, " kuidaore " (literally: eat till you drop).

A gourmet marathon to discover the city in a different way!
The aim of this marathon? To discover the city through its food, by taking the time to wander around Osaka in search of good addresses. No need for sports shoes just take three hours out of your day to discover some of the fifty culinary experiences partnering the marathon.
Organized into eight time slots throughout the day, these will allow you to (re)discover, at your own pace, the great classics of local cuisine, as well as lesser-known treasures. Explore the port in the early hours of the morning to savour some seafood, or start your day in Dotonbori with a traditional Japanese breakfast - the choice is yours!

How can you take part?
To take part in the marathon, all you have to do is register via the LINE app, or pick up a physical map showing the various partner locations. Participation is free, but you are responsible for your own meals.
After visiting the indicated locations during the chosen time slot and scanning the QR codes at each stage, validate the experience and unlock rewards! Each km walked between restaurants is calculated.
Validate four experiences to win a free drink, eight experiences to win a 5,000 yen voucher to use at Time Out Osaka Market, or go all the way to the end of the marathon by accumulating 42 km to enter a prize draw and win a 10,000 yen voucher!
