Trains in Japan: Discover Regional Passes with Japan Experience!

Tokyo / Kanto

• NIKKO WORLD HERITAGE 2-Day Pass: This 2-day pass covers the area around Nikkō includes Tobu transportation from Tokyo and access to the region’s main heritage sites. Ideal for a 1- to 2-day trip from the capital.
• CHICHIBU KAWAGOE Area 1-Day Pass: This one-day pass lets you explore Chichibu and Kawagoe, two historic destinations easily accessible from Tokyo.
• JR EAST Pass: This pass covers much of eastern Japan: Tokyo, Tohoku, Niigata, Nagano , and more!

Mount Fuji / Hakone / Shizuoka

• Hakone Free Pass: This is one of the most popular regional passes! It allows you to use public transportation in the Hakone (trains, buses, boats, and cable cars). It’s a convenient way to explore Mount Fuji, Lake Ashi, and the surrounding onsen (hot springs).
• HAKONE KAMAKURA Pass: This pass covers all transportation in Hakone and Kamakura. A good option if you want to visit both of these destinations, just a short trip from Tokyo.

Japanese Alps / Hokuriku

• KINTETSU Rail Pass 5 days PLUS: This pass is valid for 5 days on the Kintetsu network and connects Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Nagoya, and Ise.
• Koyasan World Heritage Digital Ticket: This combined ticket allows you to travel to Kōyasan from Osaka and use local transportation. It provides access to the mountain’s main heritage sites.

Chugoku / Hiroshima / Sanyo / San'in

• JR KANSAI HIROSHIMA Area Pass: This 5-day JR pass connects the Kansai region to Okayama and Hiroshima, notably via the Sanyō Shinkansen and the JR ferry to Miyajima.
• JR Sanyo-San'in Area Pass: This long-distance pass covers Osaka/Kyoto and the Sanyō and San'in regions, including Himeji, Okayama, Tottori, Matsue, and Hiroshima.
